Retro Fabrics - 1800s to 1930s

We now have added a fabulous selection of fabrics to our retro collection. Lovely prints dating from early 1800s through the Civil War up to the 1930s.   Beautiful for vintage style quilts and projects.

  1. One of the oldest methods of making fabrics is by interlacing two sets of threads together in a process known as weaving. One set of threads is stretched on a frame (loom) and is called the warp or lengthwise threads.

  2. Do not store fabrics against wood. Spot unbleached muslin or corrosive tissue as an obstruction between the fabric and wood to keep spots from oil in the wood. USADigitizer
